It offers comfortable, self-catering cabanas, casas and barracas for the perfect getaway. To experience Palm Resort is to truly experience the raw beauty of the Mozambican coastline.

Guests should note that the roads are tarred until you reach a red sand road which travels through cashew and coconut plantations for 22km to the resort. 4×4 vehicles are advisable (see FAQ). There are scheduled flights that operate to and from Inhambane Airport weekly, approximately 30km from the resort. Shuttles can be arranged from the airport on request.

  1. Bring registration books or documents, as they are requested upon arrival at the border post.
  2. If the driver is not the registered owner of the vehicle, then a vehicle authorisation letter is required.

Please note, in Mozambique vehicles drive on the left hand side of the road and by law all vehicles are to have two reflective triangles and a reflective vest in the case of an emergency.

For all guests, whether you are travelling with a vehicle or not:

  1. A valid passport or visa document is required for guests to enter the country, and should be valid during the duration of your stay.

At Palm Resort we ensure that your stay isn’t only unforgettable but also comfortable. Our affordable self-catering accommodation allows you to unwind from life’s daily pressures and enjoy the simplicity of life.

There are 4 casas, 9 sea view cabanas, 6 non-sea view cabanas and 3 camping barracas. Palm Resort has tried to use locally made products to add handmade finishes such as woven baskets and local fabrics. This not only suits the location but also helps to uplift the community. Each unit is fitted with beds & linen, mosquito nets, cooking utensils, fridge and freezers, gas stove, crockery and cutlery, plug points, lights and kitchen sink. Hot water and electricity is available 24/7 (with the exception of a few power-cuts!) and tap water is drinkable. There is secure parking on site.

Self-Catering Cabanas

Our self-catering cabanas are strategically situated amongst the palm trees of the resort allowing guests to have privacy and their own ocean view. With two bedrooms and one bathroom in each cabana, the rooms are built with Mozambican heat in mind, thus fitted with large windows and open roof trusses ensuring the rooms are kept cool.

Self-Catering Casas

Our self-catering casas have four bedrooms each leading off a joint living area that opens onto our signature woven thatch roofed deck perfect for a morning cup of tea to watch the sunrise. The rooms boast panoramic sea views and are all equipped with mosquito nets for an undisturbed sleep.

Sheltered Barraca Camping

At Palm Resort we offer sheltered camping where guests have access to their own private bathroom, plug points, lights and a kitchen with a sink and hot water. The barracas are situated amongst the palm trees where guests can enjoy shade during the day and an ocean of stars at night.
